Canada Report

Part 2:

Vancouver - Mount Revelstoke National Park - Glacier National Park

We left Vancouver and drove to Canadian Rocky Mountains. Mount Revelstoke National Park was our first destination.

Our second day in Canada was destined for driving.

This is the morning of our third day in this wonderful land - Columbia River and Monashee Mountains in the picture below.

Our "Arbeitspferd" for the next ten days.

Rhythm of the Rockies.

First wildflowers started to bloom already.

Rain storm was coming. Grizzly bear family was located in the area.

Harbinger of spring in the mountains.

Upper subalpine zone meadow near the summit of Mount Revelstoke (1860 m). It would blossom in brilliant colours in the middle of August.

Yes, it was July. Yes, it is snow in the picture below.

Statue of Native American on the Meadows-in-the-Sky trail.

Rogers Pass, Glacier National Park. It was a masterpiece of engineering back then - railroad climbing over the Rockies.

Our first camping in Canada is located on the right shore of this river.

Loop Brooks Campground, 20 vehicle / tent sites - highly recommended.
